nepal: ebc–gokyo
a flutter from kathmandu to lukla. a trek up the everest valley. popcorn with the indian army at base camp. altitude sickness. refusal to descend on mule. following dad’s footsteps and keeping alive. then a trek up gokyo valley. a race against the clouds, up gokyo peak. and a bird that hadn’t yet met, or learned to fear, man.
… and a belated realisation: photographs are usually more endearing when you include a person in them.
